central heating unit

2 October 2012

central heating unit uses windshields from used cars in Detroit to make weather vains.  The wind determines the direction of the windshields.  Contrary to the windshield as a barrier between driver and the weather, the windshield mimics the wind in central heating unit.

Although much attention paid to the sprawling of Detroit, the city continues to fluctuate with migration that does not follow a single trajectory.   However, the privatization of transportation via cars and freeways has, in part, exacerbated the isolation of communities.  central heating unit deconstructs the barrier set by the windshield.
